How long fever lasted

Hello, my DD is 3 and has a fever of 38.8 - 39.2 (in ear temperatures) for the last 2 days. It comes down very well (to 37- 36.8) after calpol. But the temperature keeps coming to the same level especially at night? I think it’s viral as she doesn’t have any other symptoms apart from fever. How long does your DC’s fever usually lasts, especially viral ones ?

I usually worry after about 5 days and then by day 6 it’s gone!

Have you done a PCR test just incase?

3/4 days max.
Going off experience this has resulted in an ear infection or a urine infection in my DS
