Morning.
Is it possible to loose your milk supply after 24h of no pumping or feeding ?
My other DC was taken poorly to hospital so I went as well. However my baby was left at home with my DH so I couldn't breastfeed and I didn't get a pump until 24h later.
Usually when I pump I get 80-100ml , however this time I barely pumped a few drops 🤪 I'm in so much pain and the pump does nothing for me. Have I lost my milk ? Tia x

Sorry to hear you’ve had such a stressful time, how old is DC2? You won’t have lost your milk in 24 hours, do you feel very engorged? Sometimes when my boobs were rock solid it would be hard to pump. Are you still in hospital? Baby at the breast would be the easiest way to relieve the discomfort, but if that’s not possible try massaging and using a warm compress if you can, sometimes hand expression can relieve some of the pressure and that makes it easier to pump. When I was pumping at work I used to find looking at pictures of my baby helped trigger the let down as well. You can also ring the la leche league helpline for advice, hope your DC is better soon xx
