anyone know of where you can take a course about this? or would you say just reading up on say mouth to mouth is enough?

St John Ambulance do courses etc. Your midwife might also be able to recommend somewhere. (My post-natal group did baby resus).

No, do a course. They are very good and even if YOUR dc never needs it, someone else's might.

I'd try St John's or ask your HV or gp's surgery. Or look in your local Adult Education centre-round here it the council runs courses.

BTW- until I had kids I was a trained first aider-I was actually very suprised at how much I learnt from the baby first aid course. Its really worth doing. Oh and the one I did let you take your baby.

oh hang on-have you not had the baby yet? If so-do it now! I think all pregnant women should do them, tbh. MUCH more helpful than wafty prenatal yoga.

I did the St John's Ambulance Baby and Child Resus course before we weaned DS - very useful.
