3 year old nightmare!

I suppose I'm just hoping someone can tell me this will end

My 3 year old is being a total pain in the arse. We have MIL staying for a week as I've broken my arm and he can go months without seeing her (she moved away) so it will probably explain it but I'm exhausted. Give him a drink - he spits it or spills it. Ask him to go somewhere he runs the other way. Hits people. Throws stuff. Not in anger he just... does it. He's all over the shop. I ask him to come.upstqirs to get dressed, he starts grabbing a load of toy food and refusing to move then throws the food. Getting dressed... he just runs away. I'm so fed up of it. I end up upsetting him (I accidentally scratched him this morning trying to wrestle a jumper on him with one arm). Everything is a drama. Refused to eat dinner yesterday.

It's relentless.
