18 month old crying so much - help

My toddler (18 months) woke at around 10pm crying really loudly last night and eventually fell asleep about two hours later crying for ages and some Calpol and cuddles. It’s really not like her to do this.

She was fine this morning but this afternoon she’s been crying again for the last 45 minutes - she seems so fussy and unsettled Sad Again this really isn’t like her.

She’s eating normally and doesn’t have a temperature. I don’t think it’s teething as she’s not touching her mouth or drooling or anything. I did put some Anbesol on some of the gum where she still doesn’t have teeth just in case but it’s made no difference.

Does anyone have any advice?

If it's unusual for her maybe she is coming down with something?

Calpol before bed, check on her a couple of times during the night.

Keep an eye out for fever or rashes.

I can’t think what though - she’s not showing any symptoms of anything, it’s just the crying Sad

It could be anything really.
Sore throat maybe ? Often how colds start
They can't tell you so it's really hard
