First night away from ds

My ds is 15 months and me and my partner have planned a night away in December when he will be 17 months. He is going to stay with my mum and dad.

I'm 100% confident that he will be fine and he has a great relationship with my parents.

When did people first leave their dc overnight and how did you find it?! I think I will love it but the nerves will definitely kick in!

My partner has taken our 14 month old on a 1 1/2 week holiday. I couldn't come because I have to work and my partner needs to look after his holiday apartment. They're due to come back on the 27th.

Maybe not exactly what you are asking because he's still with one of his parents.

We've never left him with someone else at night.

However, I'm sure your little one will be fine xx

My dd1 was 2.5yrs and it was only because I had to be induced with dd2. She was at her grans a few days0, I was in hospital for 5 days, she had a great time.

DS - 10mo
DD - 6mo

Both absolutely fine every time we've left them, we enjoyed the night off, GPs were shattered though. 😆

DS1 was about 10 weeks when I left him with DH for a girls hen weekend in Miami and probably 14 months when I was running the Miami marathon and DH and I went up with a group of friends.
We left him with my parents and they all had a blast.

The only “right” time is whenever is right for you. For some it’s when they baby is a matter of a few weeks old, for others it’s when they’re 3. Neither is wrong!!!

6 weeks!! 😬

My baby was 8.5 months! My mum actually stayed at our house with baby and we were about 2.5 hours away for 2 nights.

My first was 9 months and DH and I had gone out and then back home which was a mile away. We were both fine and loved the bread. I then miscarried before having my second who I became ridiculously attached to. We left him at 18 months for two nights. I cried my eyes out on the first night because I felt guilty. He was fine and the second night so was I.
I hope you manage to enjoy it, we all deserve a break.

My sil had Ds1 for one night after a few months because I was so cream crackered I could barely function.
