LO starts his first swimming classes soon. Any advice on the best swim wear for toddlers (12-18m). Nappies that you use/floats/swimwear etc.

Thank you.

I have a 14mo and we've done swimming lessons since she was about 8 months. We started at water babies where it was compulsory for babies to wear a splash about happy nappy on top of a disposable swimming nappy. I've just continued with this in our new lessons elsewhere as it's all I know but with a swimming costume over the top (mostly because all the others in the lesson wear them so I didnt want to look odd just brining dd in with just the happy nappy).

I think a consideration is the warmth of the pool you'll be using. If it's a bit chilly, you might want a warm body suit style swimming costume. If not, I think toddler swimming costumes are more for style than anything else!!
