Sleeping in own room.

My 10 month old baby has been sleeping in her own room for a while now. We have a really good routine and she does go off quite easily however she wakes multiple times through out the night. It’s just me and her at home so if she struggles to settle I will put her in bed with me this used to be when it got to say 6.30 am but now it’s got earlier and earlier and she can scream at midnight and won’t settle back down until I put her in with me. I appreciate I have made this trouble for myself but I’m going back to work in a couple of weeks and I’m just really desperate to get her to sleep through and tonight I have been determined to not put her in with me but I also can’t bare to hear her crying? Any tips on this process? Am I causing harm by making her this upset at night time? im a new single mum and o don’t know if I’m doing the right thing or not? Xx

If she is in with you, does she sleep better? I'd just do that. You can't make a baby sleep through, it's a developmental thing. You can train them that their cries won't be answered in the hope that they will be quieter but the research apparently shows that this isn't especially effective. Have a look at Basis online for some evidence based infant sleep advice.
