Hello

We have our first speech and language therapy for my DS (he's 3) this week and just wandered if anyone else has had one and if so, what happens at the first appointment?

Thank you

We're in the UK if that helps Grin

My little boy start speech therapy at aged 2. He's now 2.3. Our sessions are mostly guided play with the speech therapist. It's not much more than we do at home but she has a certain way of talking to him that gets words out of him. Plus she does sign language etc.

My 3 year old started with a group of children (about 4 of them). They played Word games - like posting stuff in a post-box and then saying it's name.

He then moved on to individual appointments - where they played games - again concentrating on the sounds he had difficulty with.
