What did you do for your child to like it in car seat or pram ?

I have 3.5 month old DD and she absolutely hates car seat and starts crying after 3-4 mins. She can stay in pram for like about 10 mins and again starts crying which makes going out so difficult for us. Today she cried so intense in her car seat that she nodded off for 3.5 hours after crying was over. At the moment, I sit in the back with her when DH is driving to entertain her just to avoid screaming but can not do this all the time. Any advice from mums ?

Always timed it with naps of I could so baby falls asleep in car, eventually they then associate it with a positive sleepy experience Grin
I also sing their favourite song... It's wearing but I think I'm on repeat number #4645543832686865696556!
Always make sure dry nappy immediately before putting in the seat /pram.
Use one of those snake mobiles around the the car seat handle for them to bat at.
Mirror for them but initially me!

Time. Sorry. DS started tolerating the pushchair at about 5 or 6 months, basically when he went in the buggy attachment as opposed to the bassinet. Has never tolerated > 30 mins though.

Started tolerating the car seat when he realised he could nap in it at about…?8 months. Only started tolerating awake time in the car seat at about 1 yo - when he could watch videos on my phone basically.

Is her head control good enough for an upright stroller? Mine was in an upright stroller from about 10 weeks.

Make sure the straps on the car seat are not too tight. Try removing e the canopy on the car seat as well.

Same as PP, my DD only started being OK in the pram once we switched out the bassinet. She is nosey so likes to see what's going on in the world.
As for car seat, it was mostly about time. We had to do a lot of driving over a couple of weeks so she seemed to just get used to it in that time. Otherwise timing around her naps helped.

Waited until she was 6 months but by then we were in lockdown. I used a sling a lot.
