18mo and ongoing virus/bug

Hi, my little boy is 18mo and threw up twice on Thursday morning, he’s also having trouble with ongoing constipation and I spoke to our GP who said because of both issues he wanted us to go to hospital which we did, the doctor there gave us the all clear and said the two aren’t related, it’s a sickness bug plus ‘random’ constipation.

So he’s been poorly since Wednesday evening really, much more tired than usual, gets very upset very easily, and seems to whinge constantly and just doesn’t know what to do with himself.

However we have had moments of him being almost normal (watching tv, playing with toys, asking for specific things to watch/do). He really seemed to brighten up yesterday evening especially, I really thought we’d turned a corner, but this morning (being Sunday so 4th day of illness) he’s completely unravelled and is so unhappy, he’s slept a lot and between sleeping he’s just been very unhappy and unsettled.

He’s not been sick since Friday afternoon, he doesn’t have a temperature. He is starting eat and drink a little more but in himself I feel like we’ve gone backwards this morning. He also seems to have picked up a cold now. I’m really worried as to why he seems worse this morning than he has done, i don’t know whether this is normal or whether I should be ringing someone but I’m very conscious he was already checked over by the doctor on Thursday.

Honestly? I'd ring 111 and ask them for advice.
