Hi everyone, I am not sure if this is normal but can't find much information on it. My 8 month DD has for the last couple of nights been going almost 12 hours without passing urine. The last week she had been doing less and less at night and now it has completely stopped. Just after I fed her at 6.30am she did pretty much the full nights worth in one go and I changed her nappy, she then has since passed a little more and changed her nappy again but because she had also done a bm. The thing is she takes more formula at night then she does in the day so would expect her to go alot then. She's a very fussy drinker but weaning is going well. I put formula in her porridge and other foods so she gets her recommend 20oz a day. At night she takes 10 Oz, 5oz at bed, then another 5oz around 5 hours later. She is not having any water at the moment as recommended by the hospital she is under until she can be reviewed, as she chokes on water and any foods that are thick and lumpy so she is still on smooth puréed foods which she will be getting liquids from also. They think a certain muscle hasnt developed properly yet and they want to make sure she isn't aspirating anything so they advised to not give her any other liquids other than her formula which she takes ok, she has always had a slow/medium flow teat, we haven't managed to progress. She is getting seen in a few weeks although I guess this is a separate matter. She has been doing wet nappies in the day as she has always done but is it normal for her to go almost 12 hours without a wet nappy? Has anybody else experienced this?

Hiya, I’m wondering if you ever got to the bottom of this as I am experiencing the same with my LO. Xx

Hi @Dinkydonut1 no sorry I didn't, it lasted about a week and then she went back to normal. She then did it again a few months later for a few days. No link that I could possibly find. All I can think is that is when she is having very deep sleeps. Sorry can't be of anymore help.
