Lazy eye - exotropia

Hi all,
Dd, aged 5, has just been diagnosed today with exotropia in her right eye - her eye wanders off when she's tired, apparently. Tbh, we didn't notice anything unusual, but her teacher picked up on it, she was tested today, and they agreed she has exotropia.

She's been prescribed 15 sessions with an orthoptist, whatever one of them is. Wink

Would anyone who has been through this with their DC mind sharing their experience, what treatment they had, and if the treatment worked?
I know so little about it that I really don't know what to expect and all the questions I should have asked at the time but didn't are now bouncing round my head.
Thanks in advance

Hmm, I know so little about it, I'm not even sure of the correct term. Wandering/drifting eye is probably more accurate than lazy eye, Dr Google tells me.
