6 month sleep regression?

Baby slept through from 3 months.
Now he's hit 6 months, he's waking up every three hours in the night!
This has coincided exactly with move from moses basket to cot, and addition of starting him on a few solids (he's not really into eating food atm so only has small amounts)

Is this our life now? Is it temporary?
Its been two weeks so far, every night. Is there anything I can do to get those lovely full night's sleep back?

If your LO has slept through until 6-months, and is now only waking every 3 hours, then you have hit the baby sleep jackpot and I would be very thankful. It’s perfectly normal for babies to wake during the night in the first year. I’m assuming he’s formula fed? My EBF 7-month old wakes every 2-3 hours throughout the night, and has done since birth (with plenty of really shit nights in between).

As you said, he’s dealing with a lot - a new bed and solid food, so is bound to be disturbed. It’s a phase and he will settle back down again.

Your baby has slept all night before 6 months? That's absolutley amazing and I'm also assuming formula fed. My babies were all bf and woke regularly for years. They would go through phases of sleeping well and then badly again, teeth, illness, climbing put of cots etc etc etc. We always had an excellent routine, are firm , consistent parents etc etc... That's just the way it goes. Just when you think you have one thing cracked aomething else crops up or you hace another baby and another and you are right back at the start SmileMaybe cutting teeth?
