Hi hoping someone can help on put my mind at ease until I can contact health visitor or go on Monday. Around two weeks after baby I had heavy lochia bleed which stopped after 5-7 days. But now i’m 8 weeks postpartum after a c -section (had ecoli infection after and antibiotics but all good now). Anyway i started to reduce the amount of feeds and last week was expressing like 2oz per boob twice a day. On Friday I had an orgasm and straight after heavy period started. Stopped expressing and feeding completely on Monday and by weds the bleeding suddenly just stopped. Then last night I wiped and had more bleed and nothing else. Just been toilet and it’s started again. Is it normal for first period to start stop like this? (Was worried as didn’t know shouldnt have clit orgasm before 6 weeks post partum (not had sex) but had no issues before) so just want check if this is typical of a postpartum period. Sorry TMI 🤦‍♀️

111 should be able to help you speak to someone who can answer properly. The breastfeeding and bleeding may not be linked at all.

As above. It may not be your period and I doubt it's linked to breastfeeding. It would be very soon for your period to return.

I agree it’s unlikely to be linked to breast feeding. HV only comments on your baby’s health anyway. You need to ring either 111 or the ward were you had your baby. You need a scan to check for retained products. This can be serious if untreated so you must seek medical advice.

Oh god, I’m
So worried now. Thing is I’m in the children’s ward as baby has bronchilitis now and is really poorly. I’m on own and can’t bear to leave her to go down other area of hospital. I asked one of the nurses up here on ward and she said talk to health visitor Monday and they said she get another nurse and then they been so busy they not come back.

It doesn't sound like a period. You should call 111 soon as you can get someone to sit with your baby once she's asleep. Hope your ok
