Child benefit-18 yo stopped education

18 yo was continuing his full time education and started but decided to drop out from this September. Do I have to inform hmrc/child benefit people? Will they find out from their college? What happens if I don't inform them?

You need to inform them, if you don't, you could be prosecuted for benefit fraud if caught.
