2-1 nap transition

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone had an advice or wisdom. DS is 16 months and for the last couple of days is only napping once at around half 11 for about 2-3 hours then going to bed at half 7. He manages pretty well most of the time but he is getting up at around 6am whereas this was about 7-half 7 before. Am I doing something wrong or will it just take time to settle in?

Currently not very well so all this is seeming harder than usual and DP not the most supportive.

Thanks

If anything I'd bring bedtime to 7.
Otherwise it takes few days to adjust for them

@H0cusP0cus OK I will definitely try that Smile thankyou

I’m sorry, I don’t really what the issue is. It’s normal to have one nap at this age and it’s only an hour earlier - although I guess with darker mornings it can be a pain. As pp said maybe bring the bed time forward a bit.

@Rosesareyellow when your used to 7/7:30 a 6am wake up feels like the middle of the night 😂

@H0cusP0cus fair enough Smile My DS can wake up anywhere between 6 and 8.30 so we live life on the edge here - staying up later to watch a film is always a great gamble for me and DH.

@Rosesareyellow might have to try that for an 830 wake up 🙊

Sorry you're having a hard time. My only thought is to try to reduce the nap to 2 hours max. But I'm not sure if that's a good idea as mine have always had as long as they like at that nap with no issues.
