Reflux flare up after jabs

My little one was doing well with his reflux so we weaned him off his meds a month ago.

Now after his 16 week jabs, we have had a major flare up.

Refusing feeds, silent reflux coming up and swallowing down, gagging, crying during feeds.

Anyone had similar? How long will this last!!

Both of mine had / have reflux. Illnesses and shots definitely make it flare up. I think after the shots, it took maybe a day or two to settle down? Can’t remember though as they were fairly well medicated with omeprazole. How long has it been going on for your DS?

Fwiw, my 2.5 year old still seems a bit refluxy now when he’s sick, and he came off his medication just before his second birthday. So it might happen often, but they handle it much better when they’re older and on solids. He doesn’t even really notice it now as he’s so busy playing / watching tv etc.

Yes, it's an immune system reaction to the jabs. Mine did the same. It should be a temporary thing, maybe a couple of days as far as I remember?

DS is still refluxy at 9! It doesn't bother him though, it's not painful.
