DC1 was comfortably on 3 X good sized meals every day by that stage (he could easily demolish a child size plate of pasta plus yogurt for dinner and still be looking for more)
DC2 - ate nothing till 8.5mo apart from an occasional bit of fruit

Mine would happily have a few bites of almost anything at that age, including quite strong flavours – but it was literally 2-3 bites and done. She made an exception for satsumas and would regularly demolish a whole one.

DS1 at 8 months basically ate nothing and breastfed all day and night. Didn't really click with solids until 13/14 months.

DS2 at 8 months was on three full meals, snacks and breastfed couple of times a day.

Both different, both perfectly healthy.

Bowl (baby bowl) of porridge for breakfast, veggie puree for lunch, fruit purée (soft bananas) for afternoon and a little bit of puréed dinner. Don't think huge portions (apart from porridge which he always demolished and more!) his main source of food was still formula 4 times a day.
