Calpol before bed?

I've posted a lot recently but everyone here is super helpful so here we go again
I rarely use calpol. Never needed to really. Except for her jabs.
Since about 8 months she's slept anytime between 6 and 7 straight thru to the following morning. Last night she woke me and my husband up several times just crying. Not even proper crying, more like a whinge. We checked her nappy, her temperature and other things. We couldn't see anything wrong as such so we gave her a dose of calpol..30 minutes after when I assume it kicked in she nodded off.
Shes been a little out of sorts today. More whingy and clingy and shes been very sleepy with a bit of an upset stomach. Shes had no calpol thru the day. Would it be OK to give her a dose before she heads to bed?
