babygrow and 2.5 tog Swaddle Up

My 56 days old boy sleeps in a sleeveless bodysuit and a babygrow. I put a thin blanket on him. I also swaddle him at night with a thin cloth. Our room temperature is between 20 to 23 degrees these days. Occasionally it can get colder.

He wakes up with cold hands so I ordered 2.5 tog Swaddle Up. I'm going to put only a babygrow on him and put the 2.5 tog Swaddle Up at night.

I'm wondering if this would be warm enough for him or could overheat.

I have already checked the baby tog guideline but I'd like to hear your experience.

Feeling the hands or feet of your baby is not a reliable indicator of their temperature. You need to feel their tummy or back.

I think 2.5 tog may actually be too much for the temperature of your room, with double layers. Under 21 degrees, 2.5 tog would be OK with a single layer of clothing. Over 21 degrees, 1.5 tog would probably be better.
