My baby is 6 months old since he was born he has co slept with me but breastfeeds whole night( no joke whole night) I'm exhausted I've been pushing through but now im really struggling I have other children I need to look after too. Things I've tried is taking boob out of mouth when asleep and keep my hand on him so he knows I'm close he wriggles moaning until he starts crying alot until I breastfeed again, he won't have dummy in the night at all, can anyone help?hes just started solids and no difference

Dummy? Might be a comfort thing.

I am literally no expert but could you try instead of offering boob again to either rock, sush to sleep? It might take a few weeks to break the cycle? I know it doesn't help with the sleep long term but will give you a rest?

@Capuchini thankyou for your suggestion, yes I'm thinking that could work, maybe I've taught him to breastfeed all night (hate the thought of him being hungry) maybe its me who needs to break the cycle not me

I have awful lower back pain from the pregnancy that sleeping on my side is killing me I end up taking painkillers most night so I definitely need to break this cycle.i feel so guilty on my older children because I'm so exhausted

I understand. I am sometime still feeding twice a night to my 7 month old as worried not eaten not etc and she always wants it. But I know she can sleep through without it and probably at 6months he could go 7 hours or so without feeding. I wish you luck! It's hard! Xx
