Worried about 10 month health check

DD has not long turned 9 months but the health visitor is already coming to do her 10 month health check next week. I really get on with my HV I’m just abit apprehensive after seeing online what they are looking for at this check.
DD is crawling however she can’t quite pull herself to stand, she goes on her knees but doesn’t know how to push herself up onto her feet yet.
DD can wave but doesn’t clap yet.
Also DD babbles and her first word was ‘mama’ very clearly too, however has not said it since. She mainly babbles ‘bababa. According to the check she should be saying mama and dada frequently by now!
I am a first time mum so probably doesn’t help with my anxiety but I just feel like I’ve failed my DD as I didn’t realise how behind she was 😞

If she's only 9 months then she won't be doing some things on the 10 month checklist. Your baby is not behind; they are at the correct stage for them.

Don’t worry! Your daughter sounds totally perfect. Two of mine weren’t crawling until 10 months and pulling up was way past a year. They really won’t worry about that. As for speech, she is communicating with you by babbling and that is what they are looking for.

Don't worry - my first didn't even crawl til 11 months. They all develop at different rates. The checklist is designed to capture all levels. No baby does everything on that list at that stage, and some do less than half. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong.

At ds 10 months or thereabouts check, he spent the time trying to get in the hv bag and pressing buttons on the scales she had bought, she weighed him and that was all. She didn’t ask me anything about his development, it lasted a few minutes at best.

It was the 2yr one they check development, talking all that.

They are all so different, dont bother reading the checklist at this age it's somewhat pointless!

On the 10 month asq they only expect around 3-4 items on each area. Have a look at the scoring sheet Smile

Oh please don't worry! Mine is almost the exact same age (just turned 9 months). He is crawling and started pulling up to standing just in the last few days. But he is neither clapping nor waving yet. He says dada and baba, but not mama. He's lovely. I'm not worried. Smile

She doesn’t sound behind at all, she sounds completely normal.
