Velvetiser - Help

We’ve had such a stressful few weeks. DH and DD just had Covid. They’d arranged a landmark birthday gathering for me which had to be cancelled. New job for me, new school, new Uni for DS and we miss him

Anyway - birthday was this week. Present from siblings was a Velvetiser which I’d wanted for ages.

We opened it - cleaned it and it worked for the cleaning cycle. Washed it, rinsed it, got choc and milk ready - and now it won’t turn on. Not at all.

Such a small problem I know. Just feel too exhausted to pack it all away and send it back. Just wanted a nice relaxed evening with DD and I feel so deflated.

Any advice? Are they ridiculously sensitive to the tiniest bit of water getting in when rinsing? I’m just so cross

Hmm I have one and find it quite sturdy. Did you get water in the actual connecting part at the base of the main kettle? Is the whisk pushed all the way in? Sometimes stops one side and you have to push it down.
I'm inclined to think you have a dud, try customer services! Highly recommend getting it fixed as it's fantastic, I use it everyday with just plain milk for cappuccinos.
Maybe order a takeaway or something tonight as a treat!

Thanks so much - yes we’re having a replacement sent now. Can’t wait - that first one is going to taste so good!

@Member968405 Dis you get it OP? I got one recently and I'm not impressed. The portion size is far too small for me and it doesn't really get it hot enough.
I have an Emma Bridgewater cocoa mug that I like to use and i have to use the Velvetiser twice and then warm it all up in the microwave Confused Gutted!

I love mine! Had it for nearly 4 years I think now. If you like it really hot, it helps to warm the mug up (stick it in the microwave for 30 secs) the hot choc is perfect temperature I think but a cold mug cools it down too fast.

A replacement has arrived but I’ve been too busy this week to unpack it. So we’ll try this weekend with trepidation- there are very mixed reports on here! Will let you know which camp I fall in
