Never done this, well not since newborn years. Won't drink water or take medicine. No idea what it is but def seems in pain. Not sure why I'm posting, trying to take my mind off the sound in my ear. Hope she's ok but also I have a bloody big day tomorrow so hope she also just shuts up. Doesn't seem hospital worthy but what a mystery.

She could have an ear infection or something.
You shouldn't ignore it if they are screaming in pain.
Ring 111

Teeth?

Valhalla17 · 01/10/2021 02:23

Pain from where? Is she tugging an ear or what? You should call 111 if it's been going on for 2hrs and you cant get any calpol down.

Not tugging her ears no, still could be that I guess but she won't take medicine which is a nightmare and also makes me think teeth as maybe she doesn't want anything near her mouth..

I'm not ignoring it, I'm monitoring it 😂

111 is really a waste of time tho, for me it's a and e or nothing so more likely a and s if it doesn't stop actually

DS would do that when he had an ear infection and his ear drum had burst.

I hope she's ok. When this happened to my Ds I thought he had a problem with his stomach and took him to a and e in the middle of the night. It was actually a burst ear drum

lifehappened · 01/10/2021 02:51

Ah ok thanks guys. I actually just caved and called 111 and she passed out (asleep) while I was on them.

If she's fallen asleep and woken so quickly something is definitely bothering her. If she's in enough pain to wake her might be worth getting her checked out?

midsummabreak · 01/10/2021 03:17

Take all clothes off. Check hands feet genitalia. Look for any rashes or anything causing discomfort like a hair caught around finger and wrapped tightly

midsummabreak · 01/10/2021 03:20

Sorry your baby can’t stop crying
Parenting is sometimes is so hard
Take to a & e if baby seems in pain

How is she this morning? If she frequently refuses to take liquid paracetamol you can buy paracetamol suppositories. They are a bit weird to get used to using but work really well.

jupitermars1345 · 01/10/2021 12:27

Hope She's ok this morning

My first thought when mine used to do this was a ear infection

ofwarren · 02/10/2021 07:19

How did you get on OP?
Is she any better?
