Tommee tippee boiled or tap water

Hiya, my baby is nearly 6 weeks and we've trialled and errored different bottle making methods. She's had alot of ready made but it's expensive.
I have a tommee tippee machine (I know the risks and ins and outs and have decided to use it). But just had a thought as I use boiled tap water over tap water for it. Does the hot shot mean it's being double boiled and therefore shouldn't be boiled tap water? I know it's only a small amount and I've not used it 24/7 but I'm worried as I know you shouldn't boil water twice. I know other mums on here have used boiled tap water for it too. Also I wait til it's cool to pass it through filter of course.

Just fill the machine with tap water - you are only creating extra work for yourself by boiling it first.

When I changed to bottle feeding from breast, I spoke to my HV and she advised to use cooled boiled water in the prep machine rather than tap water x

We use tap water. My little guy is 14 weeks and no problems😃

The instructions are very clear, you just need to use tap water. Don't use boiled and cooled water, or filtered water. Just follow the instructions, OP.

That's not what the instructions say, so I would urge you to follow them rather than your HV, who may not know the machines well enough to advise you. And they don't seem to know what they are talking about if they are saying you should use boiled and cooled water.

I use boiled and cooled, because my worry is that otherwise the cool water isn’t sterilised.

In the states they make up bottles with tap water, just straight from the tap, so really don't give too much brain space to this. We live in a developed country. Baby will be fine.
