Chicken pox symptoms

Hi there

Our LO, whose 11 months, has had a temperature for about a week (under control with calpol), he has loss of appetite and starting to get spots on his forehead and legs and is incredibly fussy at moment. He's also had a chest infection, which he's been prescribed with antibiotics for.

Are there any other telling signs for chicken pox? Or could this be the result of his chest infection?

Any help is appreciated.

What do the spots look like? Chicken pox starts on the trunk mainly I think.

Could they be hives following the antibiotics? That has happened with both my DS after a course of antibiotics.

There is a lot of hand, foot and mouth around at the moment too. Hope he feels better soon.
