Baby teeth

DS is nearly 10 months old. His bottom 2 teeth came through together at about 6 months old. His top 2 have been very slowly coming ever since. The last few days they’ve been really swollen and sore-looking, and DS has been upset, so I knew they’d be breaking through any day now. However only the left tooth has actually broken slightly through the gum now, rather than both at the same time. Is this OK? Will the other one catch up?

Of course it will, teeth come through in different orders/rates. For example my DD got 3 bottom teeth first then a top central and top lateral then another bottom and then the other top central and top lateral came in.

@Vicky1989x thank you :) I did Google it but it was just going on about teeth always coming in pairs so I just wanted to make sure that it was ok for one to be quicker than the other, and the right one wasn’t stuck or anything!

@PartyPotato it’s a bit confusing isn’t it! I was very confused when my DD got the 2 bottom teeth and then another bottom tooth popped up before her top ones!

@Vicky1989x seems to be lots of info on how they ‘should’ come through but nothing to say it can vary. Thanks for reassuring me.
