Is this a birthmark?

Hi all.
I have a 12 day old baby, I'm a first time mum.
This red mark appeared on his back at around 8 days old. Midwife wasn't t. It's flat, it isn't raised. I'm keeping an eye on it, to check more don't appear. Baby is otherwise doing well, eating and sleeping well and back to birth weight at 10 days old.

Looks like a hemangioma to me. My 4 month old has one on his eyelid 😊

my daughter has similar, it was hardly visible at birth but they do get bigger and become raised, they are supposed to grow until about 6 months and then shrink until they practically disappear. may be worth mentioning it to your health visitor.

Agree that it looks like a heamangioma. They can grow quite a lot within the first 6 months and can be treated with betablockers

Should disappear by the time baby is 10 though
