Baby licking my face cream

Baby already loves to lick faces at 11 weeks. I generally try not to put skincare on until I am pretty sure he is settled / napping, but that's tricky. How do I stop him licking my face before my skincare has properly absorbed into my skin, or am I meant to just scrap skincare for a bit? How dangerous would it be if he ingests things like glycolic toners or face creams? He also likes to stroke my face and then lick his hand.

Just move him!

He's only going to lick your face if you're holding him in a position where he can do so...

My baby licks / tries to feed from my face of I put his mouth to it but I don't often do that

I don't know how to hold him in a way that means he can't reach my face with his hands, which he will then immediately suck. I use the inbuilt scratch mits on sleepsuits quite a lot (and regularly wipe his hands) but they don't seem to do them for sizes above 3-6m, which he will soon be out of as he's a really long baby! I guess I just have to keep an eye and try to use minimal products / buy faster absorbing ones!

Use your cream when he's asleep or doing anything other than being held?

Honestly I don't see how this is an issue. It hasn't even occurred to me at all and DS rarely locks my face. He died today touch my face that much either. He usually pulls my hair instead Grin

It shouldn't take too long for your skincare to sink in enough that your skin feels dry to touch and by then I don't think it should matter?
