Contact napping

My LO is almost 8 1/2 months old. He has always only contact napped during the day although will also sleep in his pram. He sleeps pretty well in his cotbed at night and is quite easy to settle. When it comes to napping in his cot in the day there seems to be no way I can get him to do this, I will not use CIO or anything like that. My only concern is he starts nursery 1 day a week soon and I'm so stressing about him sleeping there. Any advice or anyone in similar positions?

I was really worried before my DD started nursery. Initially they got her to sleep in the pram and after a few weeks they tried her in the cot after a cuddle and she went in without a protest. I was in complete shock when they told me!

She still contact naps at home.

If it’s the right nursery they’ll find a way to help him sleep.

Thank you, that's amazing! Funny how they know the difference isn't it. I'm gonna speak to the nursery this week. After a little meltdown today my husband said the same - if they are good they will find a way and if not we will move him. Thank you, I really don't mind the contact napping if it is want my LO wants, I'm sure he will stop when he is ready.
