My 19 month old used to devour almost anything we’d put in front of him, but recently he’s refusing most meals.
This morning he refused his banana porridge (a once firm favourite) but was keen to have the Ella’s yogurt he found whilst helping me put the shopping away.
Seemingly he’s much more keen to snack on small things that have an actual meal. I know that meal times are an “opportunity to eat” and people generally say kids will eat however much they want, but he barely touches his meals anymore and I find it a bit concerning.
He was born on the 10th centile and I bought scales at the time so I weigh him every few months, and whilst he hasn’t lost weight he hasn’t gained any in the last 2-3 months.
I’m at the stage where I can see why mums give their kids oven food and “junk” - clearly it gets them eating? He’s so over broccoli.
Anyone else going through this?
