Nanny?

How do I find a good person to mind my 2 young kids for 2 and a half days a week? How much is reasonable to pay?
The youngest will be in nursery for 2 hours each of those days.
So it's just the morning and evening I'd need someone.

You probably need to go through an agency and interview candidates for the job. Alternatively ask for recommendations on your local What’s App group

First of all, I would like to appreciate your efforts to look for some help and reviews before going to hire a nanny for your kids. Most parent go blindly and pick some nannies to only regret about their decision later.
Whenever we are going to look for a maid or nanny, we should check well as it’s about taking care of our lovely children.

I don’t know where you are currently living or where you want your nanny care, but I can share a bit from my own experiences hiring a nanny for my kid here in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Many agencies are working here offering maid and nanny services in Dubai, but I went straight to the registered and government approved Tadbeer Center (you can check the website here - www.tadbeervisa.com ) where they are following the guidelines from the ministry in everything they deal with the hiring of domestic workers. They also provided nanny visa assistance, so it was quite relaxing for me to find everything at one place.

So, I would like to suggest you to look for such a recognized agency.
About the payment, I had to pay around AED 2300/month plus 2 years nanny visa charges extra for my full time nanny. But I don’t think you have to bear the visa charges as you are looking for a part time nanny with her own visa.

Discuss everything beforehand, and make a good choice for your kids’ care.

Good Luck,
Haya

I put an ad up in childcare.co.uk (was more for regular babysitting) and found some excellent people. Plenty of nannies responded though I didnt have enough hours for them.
I had three candidates over for an informal chat and chose from there.
Good luck

Somebody has already suggested childcare.co.uk (where you can find childminders, nannies and babysitters) but if you decide to get a Nanny you could also try nannyjob.co.uk.
I would recommend choosing a Nanny who is Ofsted registered.
