Reflux questions!

Hello, my DS is 11 weeks old and has been suffering with colic and then reflux. The doctor prescribed gaviscon which helped for a while and then stopped helping as it was giving him constipation, which was adding to the problem. I've reduced the gaviscon from 4 times in 24 hours to 2 times. He's now pooing better but some things have changed. Previously, before gaviscon, we were giving him 5oz. Doctor advised to go down to 4oz and feed more often. But now since reducing gaviscon, he's only taking 3oz (and sometimes going even longer between feeds!). He's also started vomiting up small amounts of thick, very acidic sick.

Waiting for the paediatrician appointment to come through, but just wanted to ask if anyone else has had similar with less feeds, acidic sick etc?

Thanks!!

There are other reflux meds the GP can prescribe. Gaviscon is usually just a starter.

I'd go back to the GP tomorrow abs see if they will prescribe Omeprazole.
