Pain after giving birth

Hello, I gave birth 10 days ago vaginally via kiwi and had minimal tearing and just a few dissolvable stitches. The first couple of days it was really painful but expected and kind of subsided, still there but not as much but the last day the pain has come back and it’s horrible, just feels like shooting pains and a lot of pressure down there and hurts to walk at the moment or even stand up because of the pressure! I didn’t ring my gp yet as I thought maybe this was normal for just giving birth 9 days ago but the pain is horrible at the moment and it’s starting to make me feel a bit dizzy too not sure if it’s related or from the lack of sleep with a newborn haha, just wondering was anyone else still in quite a bit of pain 10 days after giving birth? Thanks!

Sorry your in pain OP, the pressure doesn't sound normal based on my own experiences and I was a bit poorly a week or so after with all of mine, so I'd say best to get yourself checked out. Are you still under your community midwife? The norm where I am is 6wks access to post natal care in hospital baby was born- they might have given you a number ? If so you could call now as they'll be someone available? If not maybe ring 111. Your postnatal recovery is important- if you don't feel right help is available.
Ps Congratulations on your newborn!

Congratulations!!

What do you mean by via kiwi?

I had a second degree tears and dissolvable stitches and was sore and waddling a bit for at least 5 days but I'd say within the week, other than a bit of pain if I sat funny, it mostly felt ok down there. Pain that makes you dizzy 10 days post partum doesn't sound quite right to me. Do you feel it's getting worse rather than better? I'd ring the gp for a check tomorrow, better safe than sorry :)

Thank you both we’re obsessed with her!
Yeah it’s 11 days today and it hurts to walk the pressure and sharp shooting pains are awful so going to be ringing gp now!
Kiwi is the ventouse where they put the suction cap on the baby’s head and basically suck them out haha, she said I had minimal tearing which is amazing but for just minimal tearing the pain is awful 😩 thank you both again I’ll be ringing as soon as my gp opens!
