Hi my baby is 6 months old she will be 7 months on Monday I'm so observing can she have gravy? I'm going to my mums for a roast and thought that she could have maybe like some carrot an turnip, broccoli, potato etc with some gravy but when I've looked online it says not to but my health visitor said would be fine when I asked a while ago

It can be quite salty but if you're only giving a small amount it should be OK.

It is quite salty so I'd probably just serve the baby their roast without it. But as a one-off I can't imagine it's an issue if you do let the baby try gravy. We cooked for our baby without salt at home but when visiting family just gave them whatever we were all eating.
