Smart watches

DC is just getting to the age where they will start being allowed some freedoms (such as going to the park with a friend ) or walking to the local shop etc .
I would like to buy her a smart watch for her birthday. Some of her friends have one.
Has anyone got any experience and could recommend one? I’ve done a bit of research but it’s a rabbit hole of numerous choices that have befuddled my mind. I would like the following features.
GPS tracker
Ability to make a phone call to select people
Camera

I do not really want it to have lots of games or a messaging function unless I can control who she can message. So the same reason I don’t want her to have a phone yet.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Imo kids will just get mugged for their watch.

They are very common here (Australia) you can only call designated numbers, and they are not that high tech looking. Any kids over age if primary school wouldn't be caught dead with one. Never heard of them being a high priority to steal.

They really won’t be mugged for their watches here. Abs yes I’m talking about late primary age.
I saw moochies and that sounded good.

Thank you
