Just got a berry plush mmm but what about insert?

Jaguar print, it is so lovely and strokable. However, have only used it as a wrap so far as was under the impression I needed to wash the hemp insert several times before using (twice thus far). Can anyone confirm or deny? have only bought hemp thingies 2nd hand before this.

You can use em before, they just won't be as absorbant iyswim
