Red bum while potty training - why is this happening?

I started potty training my LO 5 days ago using the oh crap method ie naked from the bottom down and then camando with leggings on. She is doing really well and yesterday only had 1 accident just before bedtime. She's actually not had many accidents at all and it's only ever been a bit of pee and then she holds and finishes on the potty. She has gone 100% poo's in the potty since starting. Ive been putting a nappy on for nap time and for bedtime and at bedtime I have always put metanium cream on her and she has never had nappy rash. I noticed last night that the inside of her bum (front and back) is looking a but red and I'm not sure why as she's not sitting in a dirty nappy at all and I have been making sure to wipe her clean after she goes to the potty. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what I should do?

What are you using to clean the potty? If anything with chemicals in I'd put money on it being that!

Just rinsing with water and then a wipe after poo's...

No answers but having the same problem here! We're always thorough with wiping (paper for wee, flushable wipes for poo) but she's still getting a sore bum and I don't understand why! Potty trained for the last 3 or 4 months as well, so not a recent thing.
