Hi all,

As I previous post was About my 6 weeks hardly drinking his milk and was feeding on demand, we have changed his bottles from tommee tippee to Mam bottles however I was unsure of the teat stage I should give him he's is finishing the bottles with the Mam bottles and going longer. However we have tried him with stage 1,2&3 teats and can't tell which one is the best for him as with the tommee tippee he had to go on stage 3. But he demolishing the bottles with each stage but with the 2&3 he is vomiting loads but with stage 1 he only did it a little bit but he had hiccups, and he doesn't seem to cough as much with stage 1 like he with the others. Is it best to keep him on stage 1 or put him on the stage teat he was on with the tommee tippee?

Thank you

I'd go with stage 1. The other are for older babies

Stay on the stage 1 for now.

Our 5 week old is on the stage 1 teats. Advancing them too soon can result in vomiting as they overfill, better to have slower flow and feed more often.

Stage 1

2&3 will be too quick for him resulting in him vomiting it back up.

You sound like me 3 months ago. We settled on mam bottles (tried TT and dr brown before) and I believed teat 2 was better but actually teat size 1 is perfect.

Make sure you have a gap of 2h inbetween feeds so he's actually hungry.

Mine is 4 months and two weeks and we just switched to 2 weeks. 0 coughing which makes sense as it's the right size.

At that stage, ours started disliking being in the crook of our arm so we ended up feeding him on our legs. It looks strange but worked really well. Now he sits up on me facing forward and drinks perfectly x

i used the 0 teat with my dd until she was around 10-12 weeks, then moved to the stage 1. x

I use Mam bottles for my 7MO the anything above size 2 at that age I used to find would seem give him tummy ache/unsettle him as they are a faster flow. Stick with 1, they tend to go slower with the bottles and the milk seems to stick abit when they are ready to move we have only recently just moved to size 2 once he was drinking or wanting more milk. Although he was a very good eater and was on 9oz bottles pretty soon
