EC - how early can I start this?

I am really keen to give elimination communication a go and think I have a clear idea of the process but can anyone better informed tell me when I can begin? I've been assuming that I need to wait until the baby can support its own head - is there a too early? Or a too late?

There are some Elimination Communication Yahoo groups which might be worth looking at.
I think a lot of EC'ers use nappies the first few days and then go from there...
on the EC'Fora you will get good info about it all though

You can start as early as birth. The best window for starting ECing is birth to 6 months. IMO there is no such thing as too late, though an older baby may be nappy-trained and might struggle to us a potty at the start.

We started at 10 weeks as that is when her infected nappy rash was at it's worse and she was screaming whilst weeing and we started sitting her on/over a potty.

At 15 months she is dry and clean with the occasional wee miss and is in pants most of the time.

Here are some ECing links

Excellent, thank you both, I will have a proper look at those links.
