Coping with broodiness...what's the best way to satisfy the urge without having more babies?

I have 3 chn already, all under 5. The last one we spoke about for over a year before going for it. My husband has just been referred for a vasectomy. I agree that we shouldn't have are more chn for various reasons. Rationally, it is definitely the right thing to do. However I'm already getting twinges of broodiness. Will I just have to ignore this for the rest of my life or have others found ways of managing the broodiness without having more babies? I'm not really a pet person (that seems to be the most common suggestion). Any ideas???

I would say as they get older you’ll start getting some free time, more sleep ett and you’ll look back and think, actually it would be hard work going back to sleepless nights etc… and you’ll probably how it could negatively impact the children you have now.

Too add- dependent on your age, if you still feel like this on a few years, you still could have another one
