I’m a researcher working with Tommy’s, a leading charity committed to saving babies’ lives through research and supporting parents on every step of their pregnancy journey, to understand how we can draw more awareness around premature birth. We want to talk directly to parents of premature children about their experiences and journey.
A key question we have is:

To parents of premature children:
What would you like people who have not experienced pre-term birth to know about it?

What do you mean by "people"? Do you mean women who are having the physical experience of going through labor? Do you mean families, i.e., fathers or lesbian partners of women who are having the babies? Do you mean extended families? What is your actual question here?

We kept it purposefully vague to hear from all sides- whether it is partners, family members, friends- is there anything that you think would be important for those who have not had this lived experience to know about?
