Breastfeeding and just been vaxxed!

I've just had my 1st dose of Pfizer. I'm BF my 8 month old. I've just got back home so haven't fed him yet. Just looking for a bit of reassurance really. I've been putting it off due to BF, but felt that I should just take the plunge.

Well done for getting it done Smile soon you'll be passing him more lovely antibodies that should increase his immunity to covid!

I had mine when my ds was just 3 weeks old and is exclusive breastfed. I and he had no problems whatsoever afterwards.

I had one when I was pregnant and one after DS was born. He’s perfectly healthy and I’m glad that he’s had some antibodies to keep him safe.

I was the same, I thought I'd hold off a little until the baby was a little older as he's exclusively breastfed.
Luckily, by the time my turn came around, the baby was around 8/9 months and so feeding less. We were both fine, I've just had my second too which has also been fine for us. Nothing to worry about ☺️

I had mine whilst exclusively breastfeeding and she was 11 months old at the time. All seemed ok with her

Thank you everyone. That is all very reassuring to read.

I had my first about 35wks pregnant and second about 2wks after baby arrived. No side effects either time, and baby is now nearly 12wks.

The vaccine can pass into your breast milk but your antibodies can. Feeding will hopefully pass on some immunity.

I had my first dose in May when my baby was 3 weeks old. I wasn't worried at all. I'm loving knowing I'm now fully vaccinated along with the majority of the population and I hope the antibodies are are protecting her.

I’ve been double vaxed and was EBF my DD throughout. She was only 6 weeks and about 8lb when I had my first.

She’s been fine, no problems x

Thanks again, everyone. I had it yesterday and no problem with me or my baby. He's happy and guzzling away as usual.

I have a VERY sore arm though!
