Hi all,
My daughter is 5 months and has been screeching for the last couple of weeks. Sometimes the screeching seems like excitement but most of the time it sounds like distress/frustration (it is incredibly loud, she goes red in the face and is sometimes followed by crying). When this happens I pick her up, cuddle her and keep her on my lap but then she gets bored and starts wriggling so I put her back down on her playmat. She will be fine for about 30 seconds then picks up toys and tries to chew them and this is when the red faced screeching starts. She has teething toys and so far I can’t see any teeth but the other day tried calpol and nurofen just in case but it made no difference. Any ideas what I can do? I was already struggling so I’m finding this development very difficult.
