Same. This year the holidays seemed to go by really quickly, we did a fair bit of travelling to visit relatives and it all seemed to make the weeks zip by.

Yes thoroughly enjoyed summer. Hate school run etc.

This hot weather is bitter sweet...winter is coming.

I think summer went faster this year as 6 weeks doesnt seem long compared to the months beibg at home when shools were shut for covid

We had 7 weeks this year and even that’s flown.
Ours are 15 and 13 now and this summer was very different to our previousl ones as they’re so much more independent now.
We’ve had a couple of short breaks - 4 and 5 nights in different parts of the uk and the rest at home.
It’s been lovely and I know I’m going to miss the summer holidays once they’re even older!

Definitely! The six weeks used to feel so long but it flew by compared to the six months they were at home for!

I'm very annoyed that the weather was rubbish all hols and now they're back it's baking sunshine... typical

I'm not! Back to school for my dc, back to work for me. Back to normality and routine for all of us. I like having them around of course but I do struggle with the noise and the mess, especially if they have their friends over and they're all in the house. I don't mind the dark, cold evenings either.
