Reflux/Colic baby - feeding problems

Hi everyone, I have a 6 week old baby and we are struggling with his feeding he is in so much pain when you try and feed him. He isn’t that sick so we think it might be silent reflux or colic? We have spoken and seen the doctor who has prescribed infant gaviscon, and then infacol. We have tried changing his milk from cow & gate to the Hipp comfort milk, but nothing seems to be working. He is very chilled out unless it’s when he has a bottle then he just scrunches up and cries. If anyone has any tips I would be most grateful!

Hi, my 10 week old has silent reflux and we were prescribed omeprazole (I refused gaviscon as I was worried that would cause constipation and make his colic worse) My HV told me to insist on omeprazole. It has been really good and has really lessened his reflux symptoms.

We were advised not to use infacol as it has a citrus favour and Citrus causes the reflux to be worse.

After a feed, we keep our DS upright for 30 mins to allow gravity to help keep his milk down!

Gripe water helps a lot with the colic!

Our DS is a lot more settled now, I think getting a bit bigger / stronger has also helped (he was born on the 9th percentile and has now jumped to the 25th)

Good luck!
