Weaning - 8 months

In desperate need of any ideas please 😫
My DD is 8 months old next week and weaning has been slowly coming along from 6 months. I'm finding she is incredibly fussy and won't try anything.

We seem to have started blw as she will not take of a spoon apart from a yoghurt or fruit puree. She manages finger foods but I feel she isn't having a lot and is really whingy in the day. In a day she will have porridge (only a couple if spoons) and a couple of finger of toast (sometimes). Lunch she will either have rice cakes or pasta with some banana or cucumber and a yoghurt and tea is normally just a pouch of fruit puree. She will not try anything else and everything normally just ends up on the floor. I know feeding before 1 yrs old is more for tastes and experimenting but over the last 3 weeks or so she is totally refusing her milk now too. She's gone from finishing 3-4 7oz feeds a day to barely taking 7oz a day now. She hasn't slept through the night for about a month now but still refuses a feed in the night too.

This is making me feel like I'm totally failing and I'm absolutely shattered. We try her with anything we are eating if suitable for her but she either refuses to put it in her mouth or throws it on the floor.

Phoning the hv tomorrow but just wondered if anybody else had experienced anything like this before.

Could you try and eat dinner with her to show her what to do?! Just give her a bit of whatever your having

Yup tried that. We try and eat with her the same time where we can. She just looks at the food and refuses most of the time.

Her weight gain so far has been fine but will try and get her weighed this week to see if it is having an impact.
