First day of preschool

Hello all, my 3 year old DD is starting preschool from Monday. She has never been to any playgroups or any babysitters. She is attending full day session . I am thinking of collecting her after the morning session. Is it ok if I collect her early on the first day ? How was your kids' first day at preschool? Thanks

Have preschool not talked to you about this? There is usually a well planned settling in period, which can be adapted to the needs of each child. Normally only a short stay on day one, with or without mum, and building up to a full session when the child is ready.

Our preschool did the same thing as Artus's. It works really well. My daughter didn't want to leave!
