What to take to a 2yo birthday party?

What do you take to a 2yo birthday party? My friend said no presents and is an over caterer but I don't like to turn up empty handed...

I've been stung by "no presents" before...I assumed it was literal, but 90% of the other attendees brought one!

If it's at the host's home then maybe a small bunch of flowers, or a homemade cake. Or depending on the host, you could take them a bottle of wine for post-party winding down...
